EasyJet flies into Gatwick, which isn’t as convenient as Heathrow, but is definitely closer to the city than Luton or Stansted, & their flights are very inexpensive.
AirComet & AirEuropa also fly from MAD to LGW.
You could take a bus to Heathrow from Gatwick fairly inexpensively, or take the Gatwick Express directly into London.

I agree with a lot of what Skylark has to say - most of the discount airlines fly into airports other than Heathrow - but to be honest, it’s almost as quick to get from the other airports into central London than it is from Heathrow - maybe a difference of about an hour at most. So, if the air ticket cost is much cheaper then I would go for it
